DISCUSSION

ROUND-ROBIN DRAMA

Should the Round-Robin format be adabted?

After securing her semifinal berth by decisively winning her first two rounds, Halep had the opportunity to shut out Williams from competing by tanking her Ivanovic match.

Had she done so, she wouldn't have had to face Williams in the final and subject herself to being revenge-bageled and she could've left Williams with the long taste of a shocking season-ending defeat.

If Ivanovic had secured a semifinal spot by defeating Halep in two-sets, could Halep have been accused of tanking the match to shut Williams out?

What do you think?
