RyoSports Feel-The-Love Tennis Tip:
Develop a Chin-Up Follow-Through. Yeah. Boom!

A consistent follow-through facilitates ultimate control and optimal power. Here is one of our secrets: chin-up (stable steady head)!

  • As your eyes follow the line of the incoming ball through to contact, keep your balancing elbow UP in line with the incoming ball - BOOM! - knock-out punch! (Balancing elbow = left elbow for right-handers; right elbow for left-handers)
  • At the completion of this excellent follow-through your chin will be in line with your shoulder - BOOM! - Feel the love!

LET'S TAKE a LOOK AT a MASTER Forehand!

THINGS TO NOTE:

  1. Eyes focused on the ball
  2. Left elbow pointed in the direction of incoming ball
  3. Racket in-the-ready prepared to go low => then through the ball => following a natural arch (smoothe trajectory) - finisihing in a wrap high around the shoulder (we prefer above the shoulder)!!!!
  4. NOTICE the HEAD REMAINS STEADY, NEVER LIFTING, nor are EYES LOOKING TO TO SEE THE FLIGHT OF THE BALL while driving the ball to the desired pin stop spot.
  5. Chin lands on the right shoulder at the completion of the stroke. BOOM! Feel the love! MASTERY!

REFRESHERS for Our Champions

  1. Chin-Up! (See above)
  2. Move Your Feet! Even when you have your stroke technique perfect, you'll find your best tennis in your feet: be in the ready, move into position; to create opportunities ===> move your feet! Try It You'll Love It.
  3. Make Better Use Of Your Best Shot! You'll reap waaaay-waaaay more benefits during match-play when you KNOW which shots are your best SHOTS and can maneuver (the ball and your positioning) to make frequent SMART use of those shots.
  4. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY SHOT, USE IT or you'll LOSE! FEEL the LOVE.
